Predictably, in a city that has forever been associated with the motor industry, the biggest event in the annual calendar in Detroit is the annual motor show. Manufacturers from all over the world descend on Detroit international convention center each fall in order to display their new models, and they are accompanied by people from all over the world who want to see the latest exotic cars.

Other major events in the city include the Indy Racing League and American Le Mans series races at Belle Isle.
